We have been successfully awarded a new framework for the supply of non clinical workwear and PPE through the NHS Supply Chain.
Following a successful tender campaign, the new Non-Clinical & PPE framework went live on the 19th April 2022 covering the supply of all workwear & non-clinical Personal Protective Equipment, offering the NHS a compliant route for their textile needs.
The framework will run for 24 months with an option to extend for an additional 24 months.
General Manager, Greg Houlston says, ‘We are extremely proud to have maintained our presence within the NHS through this new framework and are looking forward to working with NHS Trust’s on their non clinical wear over the next contractual period.’
Whilst you may think the focus on NHS uniform is typically around the clinical styles, NHS trusts require workwear for their Estates & Facilities teams which covers porters and maintenance, catering and house-keeping, as well as Security and Front of House team members. It is important to recognise and celebrate these fundamental non-clinical roles, which provide the basis for a smooth running hospital. They provide the day to day operation on large sites, allowing nurses, doctors and other healthcare staff to care for their patients in a safe, functional and clean working environment.
Did you know…
‘More people work for the NHS than any other organisation in the country: over 1 million people in England alone. That is around one in every forty people. You will probably know at least one person who works for the NHS.’ (Step into the NHS)
