In 2007, we were awarded the re:source NHS procurement hub contract and in 2009, a place on the national contract - NHS Supply Chain Uniform Framework Agreement FAG51.
Garments are designed for the role and developed with NHS best practice in mind. Our PRINCE2 accredited team promise to bring a clear and transparent approach to any uniform project and our dedicated NHS Account Managers work closely with Trusts to understand individual objectives and offer the quality of service that makes a real difference.
Meltemi have been specialists in the design and manufacture of uniform garments for over 20 years and bring a wealth of experience to the provision of staff clothing.
Based in Norwich, we have a history of innovative clothing design and have built a strong reputation for customer service excellence and fast delivery to our customers across the UK.
Our customers include the NHS, private healthcare organisations, local government offices, private businesses and individuals. Our approach is to provide added value - high quality long-lasting garments with a tailored, fast and intelligent service - real attention to detail to help busy uniform managers clothe staff fast with the minimum of difficulty.
The business was founded in 1988, remains in private ownership and offers a stable and profitable supply partner. We now employ over 50 staff in the design, production and delivery of garments from Norwich and have partners across the world offering the very best in garment technology and exceptional standards of manufacture. We still operate a UK based production unit to provide a fast turnaround on garment services such as embroidery and tagging and the manufacture of special sizes and urgent orders.
Quality is at the heart of our offer. We are ISO9001 registered and all our processes are documented and audited against this standard. In 2009 our garments were awarded the highest mark in the NHS contract wearer trials.
As the focus on protecting the environment becomes ever stronger; we are proud to support environmental initiatives and perceived best practice. We are ISO 14001 registered. Our fabric suppliers conform to, or are working towards the OKO-TEX standard 100 for positive environmental processes.
We use 75% recycled board for packaging, which is also fully recyclable, and all literature is printed on stock from sustainable forestry certified by the Forest Stewardship council.
In addition, our garment fabrics and high quality manufacture are selected to provide long lasting uniform solutions to reduce renewal rates and our easy care fabrics are sourced to help reduce washing temperatures and aid energy efficiency.
